For
Writers One
of my childhood memories is our round dining room table with the manual
Smith-Corona portable typewriter sitting amidst pages of manuscripts and the
Writer’s Market. My mother wanted to be a writer. I’ve studied and honed my
craft far beyond the few classes she took, but if she had not been Trying to
Be a Writer, if she had not been a tough editor for a small child, I
would not be a writer today. On
Writing: For

essential for my goals for the book. So I self-published. That was the easy
part. The following pages describe my journey as a writer and include links
to resources. Ø
