Commercial Writing Services

My education and jobs have developed skills useful in a variety of writing services.

Ø Adapting & simplifying materials as a specialist working with classroom teachers utilized the same skills required for tech writing, especially instruction sheets, user manuals, and training materials.

Ø Investigating and preparing legal documents in various positions honed my interview and evaluation skills (of people and data) as well as my ability to write concise reports within specific requirements.

Ø Utilizing a variety of computers and programs has made me flexible and quick to see parallels among them.

Ø Writing a grant application that resulted in $100,000 being awarded to my school for technology and associated support to improve literacy required: analysis of the requirements and desires of the grant committee; alignment of our project with those requirements and desires; simplification of complex documents; coordination of information from a variety of groups; understanding the agendas of the various parties to the grant application to gain the necessary support; and attention to detail in the writing of the hefty application.

Ø As a self-published author I have designed a variety of marketing materials, including this website and the book covers you see displayed at right.
